EVENTS: (2011-2012)


Dept of EIE organized a National Level technical Symposium “DERROCHE2K11” on 9th August 2011

Dept of EIE organized mini-project exhibition “Sai Protronics” on 7th March 2012.

All the Departments of Sri Sairam Engineering College conducted Project Exhibition 2012 on 28th March 2012.

Technical Symposium details along with photos (2010-2011):

The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Sri Sai Ram Engineering college conducted the 2nd National level student’s Technical symposium SAI ELEXIN-DERROCHE ’11 on 02.03.11. The chief guest for the inauguration function was Dr.S.Vincent, Member Secretary, TNSCST, DOTE – Campus, Chennai. The HOD welcomed the chief guest and the delegates. Dr.C.V.Jayakumar, Principal, delivered the welcome address. The souvenir for 2nd national symposium “Revista” was released by the chief guest Dr.S.Vincent.
There was a Paper presentation event. First and second prizes worth Rs.3500 were given to the event winners. For paper presentation event about 150 papers were received from various engineering colleges and universities across the state. Our experienced staff members scrutinized the paper carefully and selected 15 papers for presentation in that 7 were presented on that day, out of which 2 best papers were selected by a panel of judges.
The paper presentation event was judged by Mr.K.Swaminathan, Professor Dept of ECE Sri Sairam College of Engineering, Chennai, Mr.S.Parthiban Senior Staff Engineer, R&D Tessolve Services Pvt. Ltd. & Dr.S.lakshmi Professor Dept of ECE, Tagore Engineering College Chennai.
The chief guest for the valedictory function was Mr.Yogan Senthil Kumar, Vice president, TADC and R&D, Tessolve Services Pvt. Ltd., Chennai. The 1st News Letter named “Sai-Elexin Newsletter” for 2nd national symposium was released by the chief guest Mr.Yogan Senthil Kumar.


Technical Symposium details along with photos (2009-2010):

The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Sri Sai Ram Engineering college conducted the 1st National level student’s Technical symposium SAI ELEXIN-DERROCHE ’09 on 19.08.09. The chief guest for the function was Mr.H.S.Anatha Ramu, General Manager (R&D) and industrial Areva T&D India ltd. The HOD welcomed the chief guest and the delegates. Dr.C.V.Jayakumar, Principal, delivered the welcome address, while our honourable Director, V.R.Rajamanickam has delivered the key note address.
There were totally 5 events which include Paper presentation, Model Project presentation, Robotics, Quiz, Circuit debugging. For each event first and second prizes worth Rs.15,000 were given to the event winners. For paper presentation event, we received 150 paper from Engineering colleges and universities across the state. Our experienced staff members scrutinized the paper carefully and selected 8 but papers for presentation, out of which 2 best papers were selected by a panel of judges.
The paper presentation event was judged by Mr.N.Shri Madhava Raja, Asst.Professor Dept of EIE St.Joseph’s College of Engineering, Chennai & Mr.R.Shankar Professor Dept.of EEE,B.K.R college of Engineering and Technology, Tiruttani.

For project Model Presentation we received more than 20 Models from various Engineering college across the state our experienced staff members scrutinized them carefully and selected 6 best Project models for display out of which 2 models were selected by Mr.Azhaga Murugan, Asst Prof/ EEE dept. from our college.
Robotics event included two sub-events-SUMO and GRAND PRIX which saw an active participation of more than ten teams from colleges across the state out of which best robots were selected for appreciation and reward by Mr.Arunprasad of Mechanical department from our college. The symposium ended with the rendering of national anthem.
